Transparency and Protections.

Anchor World is committed to fair advertising, marketing, and business practices.

You will be no less protected when shopping at our online store than when you purchase in person at any store.

We do not handle card numbers of customers in the shop or online. Online purchases are transacted using an encrypted payment system. We respect consumers’ privacy and maintain a policy on the collection and use of private information.


Online Disclosures About the Business, the Goods, and Services.

Anchor World discloses on this website our postal and street address together with the status of our business registrations.

In order to help the customer make informed purchase decisions, the goods and services being offered are described in detail and in a legal sense this is a willingness by us to negotiate without being bound to continue and thus can be amended by us at any time.


All prices shown are in Australian Dollars.

All payments for purchase are in Australian Dollars.


Secure Payment Systems.

Anchor World will only offer an Encrypted Payment system that is commonly agreed to be easy to use, secure and protect the customer, as far as can reasonably be seen, from theft and fraud.

In a legal sense entering the payment system is an offer by the consumer to voluntarily enter into a contract to buy the goods and services selected.

Anchor World reserves the right to reject the offer to buy and refund the payment. This may be necessary in case we cannot supply the goods due to unforeseen circumstances.

At present Anchor World Online store currently only accepts payment using PayPal. You may use your credit or debit card with PayPal without using a PayPal account. Other payment options may be available from time to time including Visa and Mastercard.


Order Confirmation Process.

Anchor World’s purchase confirmation process gives you an opportunity to see what is in the shopping cart before submitting payment.

There may be special promotion discounts to be subtracted.

All of the above will be shown and a total cost displayed before entering the payment system.

There is an opportunity for the customer to have a change of mind without any obligation.


Ordering and Dispatch.

We understand you need your order delivered quickly.

If we have stock, we aim to dispatch your order within 5-10 working days Monday to Friday. 

Sometimes orders need to be manufactured. Our anchors are usually made to order in the Peoples Republic of China, however they may sometimes be sourced from other countries or locations depending on availability and stock which means that they are manufactured when an order is placed. 

Manufacturing can take up to 20 business days from the date of order.

From time to time we may find that our store is out of stock of some items and will be in re-order status with our suppliers.

Our aim will be to escalate priority to fulfil your order to ensure we dispatch to you within 20 business days. If this is the case you will be advised an expected shipment date.

If due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot pick and pack your goods for dispatch within 20 business days of your order we will email you and negotiate a range of options including cancelation of your order and refund of all monies paid.


Dangerous Goods.

Anchor World is licensed to sell explosive goods such as safety flares.
We also sell paints, resins, solvents and other flammable products.
Anchor World offers for sale some products that are classified dangerous to freight. These products contain flammable liquids and materials so require specialized couriers to deliver to us.
These items will incur an additional freight charge to ensure safety in transit.


Anchor World does from time to time change the Courier company if required.

Shipping is available worldwide.

We have tried to keep shipping uncomplicated for ease of use.

Approximate Shipping Time (Australia):

  • Standard Shipping - 5 to 15 days from dispatch.
  • Express Shipping - 1 to 5 days from dispatch.

Approximate Shipping Time (International):

  • Standard Shipping - 1 to 4 weeks from dispatch.
  • Express Shipping - 1 to 10 days from dispatch.

Some items will incur an additional charge if dangerous goods have been selected or purchases over 10 KG. These items will be identified at purchase.

While we do everything we can to ensure your order is delivered in a timely manner we will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by any person as a result of delay caused by the selected carrier or by any event which is out of our reasonable control or foresight including but not limited to any delay caused by an incorrect delivery address provided to us or failure to be in attendance to receive delivery. Anchor World will not be liable for any delays by the courier.

Exchanges and Refunds.

Our Returns policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law because we want you to have the correct purchase solution for your requirements.

Anchor World makes considerable efforts to select items for sale in our shop and online that are unlikely to be faulty however, we acknowledge that some products may have faults not visible at dispatch.

In the unlikely event of a fault you may under Australian Consumer Law be entitled to have the goods repaired, exchanged or receive a refund. 

We reserve the right to assess the failure as minor and repair and not therefore to offer a refund or exchange. In the event of fault the return of the goods is to our account but the claimant must provide proof of purchase and await our instructions for the return.


Incorrect Product ordered for Requirement.

If you have changed your mind or ordered the incorrect product for your requirements we will accept the goods back for exchange only within 7 days of the original purchase provided the items are not bespoke or cut to measure.

Please return your item unused, complete with all packaging and accessories either in person to Anchor World or by Express Post.

We will not accept return without original packaging and ticketing.

You must provide proof of purchase.

If you are posting items to us please ensure you pack your item securely to prevent damage in transit.

If your return arrives back to us damaged we are unable to issue an exchange or refund.

Anchor Marine will not be responsible for your return shipping costs.


Incorrect Product received.

If we have shipped an incorrect order to you we will reimburse your return shipping Express Post expense. We are unable to re-send until we verify the order was sent incorrectly at inspection of return.



Once your return is received at Anchor World we will inspect and send you an email to advise you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your exchange/refund.

If you are approved, then your exchange will be forwarded after we receive payment for freight or a refund will be processed.

A credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 48 hours.

Defective / Damaged Items.

We may repair or replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item send us an email at info@anchorworld.com.au. We will confirm your email.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item (unless your item is declared damaged/defective).

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.



Where an item has a manufacturer’s warranty that exceeds one (1) year this will be advertised next to the product.

For some product assessments you may have the option to liaise directly with the manufacturer or their repair agent.
